Why Schools buy their uniform from our company

What separates us from other Wholesalers
Whilst there is a tendency to focus on price, we believe there are other important considerations when choosing a supplier. Currently, many of our competitors still insist on large minimum orders, thereby discriminating against many smaller schools and encouraging them to hold more stock than they find comfortable. This approach is not supportive, which is why we do not subscribe to it. Furthermore, we offer carriage free delivery for all orders over £50 and free 30-day credit terms to Schools. We take pride in offering a complete uniform and sportswear range that meets our customers expectations in terms of price and quality. Additionally, we offer many 'specials' that are produced specifically to satisfy customer demand.

Why favour us over the Retailer
The funds that Schools possess never allows them to pursue every project they desire. I am sure if extra money became available, your School could soon put it to good use in classroom improvements or new equipment. This shortfall of money means additional sources of income should be sought, one of which is the in-house marketing of uniform, particularly as it provides ongoing revenue.

The direct purchase of uniform is an investment, not only in monetary terms, but also in promoting and enforcing the uniform appearance of the students in a School. People judge a School, in part, by the collective appearance of its students. If you are selling your uniform, you control it. Untidy students wearing a mixture of uniform from different sources can damage the efforts made to raise the profile of a School within its community. Our products remain consistent in design, quality and shade from year to year. In-house marketing of uniform and sportswear offers a partial solution to both funding and image problems.

Overall, parents are willing to support their children's School and are happy to buy uniform there. The willingness that already exists is further enhanced when they realise there are savings to made on quality clothing. Our School customers can offer better value-for-money than local retailers can, because they do not have the expense of costly rent and rates. Furthermore, our prices are keen, whilst our products are designed with thought and specifically for frequent wear in the School environment. We review our prices annually, and despite increases in our expenses, we always find we can announce a large number of 'price freezes'. Our growth in turnover means this policy is sustainable, which suits us, because we like to reward our loyal customer base and gain new trade.

For a relatively small outlay, our School customers benefit from a high level of quality and consistency of their uniform, combined with a regular source of income.

Did you Know?

From April 1993 there was a change in the VAT treatment of items of Primary and Middle School uniform. Children's garments, irrespective of size, that bear a prominent logo or badge identifying them as part of the official unifrom of Schools catering exclusively for children under 14 years of age, may be supplied at the zero-rate.
